Creative - Storyteller - Artist

My name is William Marsden, and I'm a lifelong creative. I love nothing more than flexing my creative muscles and trying new disciplines. I've tried my hand at everything from woodworking to programming, from game design to voice acting.

Educational Monitoring Analyst at Smoothwall Ltd

November 2020 – Present

  • Monitor student activity on school-provided laptops to ensure safe internet usage.

  • Assess a high volume of captures efficiently, using keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Liaise with safeguarding leads when concerns arise, using effective communication.

IT Project Support Officer at NHS Professionals

  • Organised and facilitated meetings for multidisciplinary teams, managing transcription and documentation.

My roles primarily consist of general design assistance.

however, I did expand from level design assistance to other roles; such as:

Sound design, Narrative design, Gameplay design and assisting the primary producer with day to day task management.

I have recently completed my studies of computer games design at Teesside university in the United Kingdom.

 I am comfortable working alone or in a team. I have been lead designer / producer on two major game development projects whilst at university, a trailer for one of these projects “Six Silver Bullets” is available here. http://youtu.be/pDzP5zYfIgc For this particular project, I wrote the story and created the characters, during development it was up to me to oversee the development of the levels and assign work to the rest of the team.
